Turkeys were worshipped like gods by the Mayan people back in 300 B.C. Archaeologists have found a lot of drawings of turkeys made by the Mayan people.

between 1912 and 1948 the Olympic games used to hold competitions in fine arts! Examples were competitions for literature, architecture, sculptures, painting and even music! The rules for the art were that it had to of course be realted to the Olympic games. It was added because the ancient Greeks held art festivals along the games. 151 medals were rewarded!

Napoleon was attacked by bunnies! Yes you heard it correctly, the great Napoleon was attacked by bunnies. Back in July 1807 after Napoleon had signed the treaties of Tilsit (which ended the war between Russia and France) Napoleon ordered a rabbit hunt for him and his men, it was said that there were 3000 rabbits which they could shoot at. When the rabbits were released they started running at Napoleon, at first Napoleon was laughing out loud but when the rabbits kept charging at Napoleon and his men the laughing was quickly over. And we taught Waterloo was his greatest defeat…

Cleopatra VII… the last queen of Egypt wasn’t born in Egypt. She was actually Greek!

Pope Gregory VI actually declared war on cats. In the 13th century pope Gregory VI actually claimed that black cats were instruments of satan and he declared war on them. He ordered the extermination of cats throughout Europe. However eventually this plan backfired, because pope Gregory VI had ordered all cats to be killed the population of rats increased. These rats actually carried the plague!

In the 1830s ketchup was sold as a medicine! In 1834 Ohio physician named John Cook sold ketchup as a medicine against indigestion.

Abraham Lincoln is actually in the wrestling hall of fame. Before the 16th president took office he was declared a wrestling champion. He only had one loss among 300 contests!

If you thought this was the only thing I can tell you about Lincoln you’re wrong. Except for the fact that Lincoln was a profesional wrestler he also openned a bar in 1833! The bar called ‘Bery and Lincoln’ was opened in New Salem. Unfortunately the bar had to close because of the drinking problem Lincolns partner had. Lincolns partner William F. Berry drank most of the supply the bar had.

Karl Benz his first car

The first cars weren’t invented in America. Allthough you might think that Henry Ford his car was the first one it wasn’t. The actual first car was actually made in Europe by Karl Benz and his partner Emille Levassor. Karl Benz patented the first car in 1886.

George Washington never had a wooden teeth. However George Washington did have dental problems and did use dentures, wood was never used!
